Our programmes are delivered by excellent practicing visual artists and theorists of art and art pedagogy. The programmes are interdisciplinary: they combine studio work (e.g. painting, drawing, graphic design, traditional printmaking, 3D work, media experiments, object art, site specific art, multimedia) with reflective approaches, theory and art pedagogy (e.g. history of art, contemporary visual theories, visual anthropology, gallery and museum education, didactics, introduction to research in art education).
Since the degree programmes are credit based the students can built their modules from different courses (including Philosophy of Education, Psychology, General Pedagogy, etc.) to reach 60 credits per academic year which is divided into two semesters.
Our research concerns with the inquiry into social and cultural conditions of visual arts and visualisation understood as a specific feature of human ontogenesis, culture and general education. The research findings contribute to a deep understanding of visual literacy, creative thinking, learning and teaching in the area of contemporary art, its mediation, visual culture, visual and cultural anthropology and related philosophy and critical theories.
