Music Education Conference on Research and Practice in Music Education

Dear colleagues, we would like to cordially invite you to a conference organized by the Department of Music Education of the Faculty of Education, Charles University in cooperation with the Society for Music Education of the Czech Republic. The conference is open to academics, students and school teachers. Participation: in person, online (foreign guests).

Areas: university preparation of future music teachers – Music education approaches in group music teaching – Integrative music education in practice – Music pedagogical research – Society for Music Education of the Czech Republic.

Topics: developing student and teacher competencies in music education – Curriculum and pedagogy in flux – Equality, diversity and inclusion in the music classroom - Music traditions, genres and curriculum - Traditions and changes in music teacher education.

Presentation options:

• • Research papers (20 + 10 minutes discussion)

• • Practice papers (projects, school activites, 20 + 10 minutes discussion)

• • Symposia (90 minutes)

• • Workshops (45 or 90 minutes)

• • Posters

Registration: by filling in the online form by 31 August 2024.

Conference fee: to be paid by each conference participant (with active and passive participation) until 14 September 2024. The fee for one participant is 1000,- CZK.
