Conference: Day with German Didactics

In January 2025, the revised Framework Curriculum for Primary Education was presented to the public. The educational area of Language and Linguistic Communication classifies German as a second foreign language, starting no later than year 7. This opens up new challenges for the teaching of German, which could lead to the effective acquisition of a second foreign language for practical use and thus to the motivation to learn a second foreign language. The conference will therefore address the following topics: multilingualism, language transfer, activity-oriented teaching with an emphasis on project-based learning, authenticity in teaching, cross-curricular relationships, cooperation with foreign schools, and the continuity of German teaching in secondary schools. The conference invites teachers of German in primary and secondary schools and other experts. This year they will not only be able to attend workshops and panel discussions, but can also prepare their own workshops and presentations of examples of good practice.
