The educational area of Language and Linguistic Communication classifies German as a second foreign language, starting no later than year 7. This opens up new challenges for the teaching of German, which could lead to the effective acquisition of a second foreign language for practical use and thus to the motivation to learn a second foreign language.

Department of Education invites you to a lecture held by American psychologist Melanie Killen, Ph.D., from the University of Maryland on the topic of reducing prejudice and bias in children and young people. The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion of experts on the topic of promoting intergroup friendships, e.g. across ethnic groups.
