The center of teaching practice provides support for all types of pedagogical practice at the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. It is an organizational unit of the faculty with the goal to promote educational, scientific, research and development activities in the field of teaching practice in accordance with the faculty development plan. The centre provides cooperation with a network of so-called university schools and facilities, which are future teachers’ teaching base, where pedagogical practice of future teachers is provided in collaboration with university lecturers. The evaluation of the quality of teaching practice is an integral part of the center's activities. It methodically manages and organizes the educational experience of students and ensures the preparation of documents for the financing of the teaching practice. The center’s director is practically involved in the development and management of selected types of practice and publishes scholarly texts on that topic. The department’s activities are governed by the chair of the Center of teaching practice, who reports directly to the assigned vice-dean for academic affairs.
